Ok, So I have an object, and I check out the summary info in 3D studio to see that this object is 1113 polygons..Now I take this object into an object viewer made in DBP and it shows that it is over 1600 polygons..

Why is the poly count in DBP not the exact same as 3d studio?

Does 3DS allow square polys? If it does then that will be the answer - DBPro will break them into triangles.

Hmmm, my polycount matches always between max & dbp

Check for hidden limbs ,bones and dummys. These objects
are also ingredients in the polysoup.

Me, You, DBP and everything else, were made in the same place. The Stars!
I wonder what kind of matter DBP bugs are made of ... antimatter ??

3DS does allow Square Polys, however that is only when an object is an 'editable poly' if you convert it into an editable mesh then it will be triangular polys instead of square polys.

all of my models are editable meshes with triangular polys and it still comes up as a difference..
