Hello, I was wondering since eReaders and iPads are finally being taken seriously, might the fellows at TGC publish or support a Kindle, Nook, iPad version of those very expensive prints of the Dark Basic language Volumes?

I live in the States and they cost almost twice as much as I would normally spend on my technical books and of course currency exchange charges to boot. I think it would be beneficial to all if there were digitally managed publications for eReaders. It would allow us to take a load off as well because those things are huge =P

If that has already happened please direct me to where I may find more information. Also, the monthlies could also be great on eReaders if there were a PDF version.

You have to contact the publisher and request it. They recently did an eBook for MilkShape3D, but have not done it for any other books. They are worried about people passing the files around and not paying them for it, I think.

Ah that is why I mentioned content managed DRM PDF or Kindle. ANazon is selling them and all the other retail stores are jumping onboard so I think the issue of people giving each other the files is at least a minimal concern for the sellers and publishers now.

I'll look into contacting the publisher.

Actually the publishers have a special going right now, where you can get the two books together at a reduced price. I bought them both directly from digital skills, and they are really not THAT expensive, considering the sheer size of them mofo's. The first volume is aimed straight at newcomers to programming and is sorta redundant if you know your way around any other programming language, but the second volume is really a time-saver when doing 3D programming.
