Hey guys, it's Monkey here, and I was wondering, what program do you use to make HUDS?

Remaining questions: (I have so many it's embarassing.)

Quote: "How do you make a HUD FPSC ready?

How do you make transparency in gimp? Just the default white color?

How do you add HUDS into your game?"

Have no idea how to make them FPSC ready.
I also have gimp, but so little talent with it. The only thing I'm good at with it is making avatars.

But i'd be glad to take your offer, as soon as all my questions are answered.

Ok first make the script (i do not know how to do that part soory)
Go to C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator Free\Files\languagebank\english\gamecore\huds and paste the script and the image in there

Now go to C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator Free\Files\languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame
Go to setuplevel.fpi now edit that script to where its pointing to what yourhud is now test it.

I suggest typing in hud in the searchbox many people have asked im sure you can find some usefull information in there somewhere

I use Gimp, i was able to make a nice hud attached.

pretty much you just need to save it as a .tga i think and put in gamedata folder, i could be wrong since im not on my fpsc computer.

then to go build game and edit the lives picture for your hud.

I use gimp. To script use FPI EditPad.

1. Click on new.
2. Click on OK because default is for fpi.
3. Click on insert.
4. Click on FPI Template to get fpi template.
5. Click on insert again.
6. Click on Hud Definition
7. Locate the hud you wish to use. It actually can be anywhere in one of the subfolders of the files folder.
8. Now you will be asked to enter the name of the hud. Also you need to indicate the position of the hud. Press Enter.
9. A hud definition will automatically be created for you.
10. Finish your script. Example in code snippet.

state=0 is the line that is created by hud def. This will position the hud on the center of the screen. X and Y positions are by percentage.

Pain.NET is free and easy I use that for my HUDs and creating transparency in it, it as easy as; Selecting the whole image area, and deleting everything, pressing "Delete" button on your keyboard.
