I got a job at Knott's Berry Farm, a theme park here in Southern California and I'm a conductor on the train. And I have absolutely fallen in love with it. So I decided to build it in 3d. What's funny is I couldn't find hardly any reference for the 41 or any c19 locomotive for that matter. Luckily I have access to the real thing 5 days a week :p If any of you live in so cal (I do understand many of you are elsewhere like the u.k.) feel free to visit just look for me I'll let you ride free.

So basically I'm starting at the front and building detail one bit at a time backward.

Details for anyone who's interested, straight from the spiel I give while on the train.

The bok that causes the grates of the center of the cow catcher looks a bit small, the slop on the grate is looking a bit to shallow.

Okay, thanks. A few questions:
What's a bok? [edit] I think I see it. The square thing that holds the coupling?
Causes the gates to what?
What's a slop? (slope?)

Thanks. It's partly because I just want to model it, but I'm also going to be rigging it in a way that you can simulate increasing the temperature in the boiler to make the thing run faster or slower and it will also be set up to emit steam.

My lack of knowledge on trains is pretty clear eh?

Yeah i was talking about how much the grates on the cow catcher are not steep enough due to the fact that the box, whatever it is, is too small.
