if so try ucoz.com

otherwise if you know html buy a cheap hosting for like 30$ a year.

if you want the easy way out with html find a free template and edit it with notepad.Or download webpagemaker and make your own in minutes.. http://www.freewebtemplates.com/templates/html - free templates

Sorry but a site like runescape takes thousands on £ to run and develop and how can you expect to make one on a free host and so obviously no idea of how the web works. Start small you will have no chance of making a runescape style site unless you have a handy £100,000 or more somewhere. It may be harsh but it's true, the cost of those sites is insane shy do you think they charge for membership for almost everything.

Very sure I do web programming and a site like that would need a huge budget and allot of time and effort. Just for the servers your looking at close too if not more than £500 a month and that would be for small amounts of users.

Sure thing I don't want to put you down or anything. I just like to put it as it is so you know what is really involved. As for just a normal place to write about your game that can be done at almost any host free or paid.

I tried out www.000webhost.com and they are really bad, plus reviews of them confirm that they are, with slow servers and bad support.

I've just signed up with http://www.free-hostin.com/ (order it here) and they seem to be pretty good so far.

Wix is great. Webs is for horribly boring and dull sites. Unless they recently improved it, which I doubt.

I use a combo of wix and webs... Wix is waaay too over priced, so I create a wbsite in wix, then embed it page by page into the webs editor. Set the background color in your webs site the same as your wix, and overall you'll get a pretty good site...

Cheers,
Anayar

Don't use Wix the programmers that made that are idiots nothing works properly i remember using it when it was just finished beta stage and it was dire and the sites coming out of it where awful not to mention all very similar.

I suggest not using a site maker at all get some free space from somewhere with decent bandwidth, open up a editor ad code yourself a site you can make a simple HTML and CSS site in an hour even if your new to it all. That's the way i suggest you go.

Get unlimited space and un-metered bandwidth hosting email me i will beat any other host

I think you're misunderstanding what he's asking for here. He just wants a simple email activation script and allow user membership...that's nothing special, there are generic scripts all over the web written in PHP and ASP and countless other languages which allow this. The details would need to be stored in a database (probably MySQL).

I don't know where you're pulling these figures from, but a .com domain name costs around £10 a year, and I buy hosting with unlimited bandwidth and server space for £99 a year for 10 domain names.

He isn't asking for a complete Runescape set up, he just wants a similar registration system. These can be found anywhere on the web.

Made in ten miniutes with Wix. Yes a literal ten minutes. When it's done it's going to shock you all. Somebody tell me now Wix is crappy, if this is what I can make in ten minutes.

Also, for the navigation bar:
Green = On the page
Yellow = Hovering over.
Red = Not hovered or on the page.

@Soviet176

You will have to email me i dont want to get in trouble for advertising things around here. But i can say its less than JustHost.com

@Marc Steene

The way i read it he did want a full runescape style game in which case dedicated servers are the only way to go and development is that much unless you develop the whole thing yourself or with people that dont require paying, if he does only want a registration script it wasn't very clear and yeh you can do that for about this much >> £0

@Monkey Mja

It not all about looks you know SEO is one of the most important factors of a sites success. The content of a Wix site is always horrible to read impossible to navigate in a way you would with a HTML page. Generally just not fun to use other flash sites made in Adobe Flash Pro can be very good indeed and nice to use, Wix just lacks this.

Also when developing a site as with other things, rushing = crap so 10 minutes isnt something to boost about really

Content? Blame the userbase. It's possible to have good content.
Navigation is possible. Very easy too. Unless you navigate using the site bar, it's up to the user how they want navigation to seem.

Thats like saying a twenty liner DBP isn't good because it's not complex enough. I made it in ten minutes to prove that with Wix, you can easily make a good looking, easy to navigate, site, and that it's not impossible to make a good site with Wix.

You either just didn't have the experience working with it, or you just based your opinions off of someone elses Wix.

I would highly recommend NOT wasting your money with Webs/freewebs. Sure, they are indeed the most popular free website builder and hoster, but once you look into their plans, it turns out to be awfully expensive and unfair.

I use JustHost, it's very reliable, features fast servers, and has tons of features. Plus, hosting plans are much cheaper than Webs. They were continuously voted to be one of the best webhosts out there. Them, and GoDaddy.

And thats obviously not reading what i said, as i said rushing nothing about length 20-liners are not rushed and they are thought about a site made in Wix is a rushed and half hearted effort to make a decent site.

Quote: "You either just didn't have the experience working with it, or you just based your opinions off of someone elses Wix."

Well i have used it so i would know and am entitled to an opinion am i not, i dont want to argue i think its an awful way to make a site you dont. Fair enough.
