You haven`t provided model and texture for us to take a look at. Chances are this is an export issue from blender - probably use of materials. You should probably provide your .blend file aswell.

Yeah, might help to see the model. It could be you didn't export properly or any number of things. What software are you modelling in?

In blender you can use images to do textures, I will include to .blend file. When I export .x there isnt any textures when loading into dbpro but when I import the same .x into blender it has the textures.

That's probably because Blender knows where the textures are. If you load the object into DBPro you need to make sure the textures are in the right place. Have you checked where the textures need to go? You'll need the model and the textures in much the same folder I expect.

We need your model and texture before we can check your code, i.e. the files AK47.x and AK47texture.bmp.

I agree something's wrong though.

Put the texture and model up so we can try it and see what the problem is.

Thanks. I can see the problems now.

The first problem is that the file name is wrong in the X file. If you open the X file in WordPad (or Notepad) you will find the line

If you change this to

your model should load correctly.

The second problem is that your object uses a Material list with more than one Material even though it uses only one. The DBPro texture object command doesn't work correctly in that case. If you edit the X file (or, better, modify it in your modeller) so it uses only one material then your object will load correctly whichever way you use.

Not sure what the problem is.

Could you post two comparable screenshots, one from Blender and the other from DBPro, so we can see for ourselves what the problem is?

There's an obvious problem on the top and bottom of the object where the texture has been stretched. Is that what you mean? If so, I doubt that has anything to do with DBPro.

There shouldn't be any difference.

Incidentally, that strange file name that you had in your X file seems familiar. I wonder if there's a problem with the way Blender exports X files as I'm sure I've seen filenames like that when other people have had problems with X files. Seems unlikely to be a name you chose.

Good luck with that - and don't forget there are plenty of people here who can help when you need it.

Just rotate it in blender and export again.

My guess is it has the same shading as the second picture on your first post. If so click here
