. . .
sry but in comparison to 117 Xara Mod / CorVus Mod is really bad.
Not everything works, bad performance!
So no need to use it.

@Naxone; Remove your post from my thread immediately. If I wanted you to show me pictures of Corvus MOD, I would ask you, but since I haven't, show some respect to other members and keep your shameless self advertising to yourself please.

@CoZ:
its not Corvus Mod its Xara Mod... I just want to make sure everyone knows that CorVus is not continued and Kill3r has used the Source Code (its open source) to produce Xara Mod.

But I also think there should not be such a image in this thread!

And he's banned now... Don't know what that has to do with the conversation though, just had to say that.

And if CoZ wants those pics down, they should be down.

@Dark Goblin: To be honest, I dont care what MOD it is, it shouldn't be in this thread. And frankly, Xara MOD to me is old hat; it showcases nothing special that can mostly all be achived now due to the advancement of FPSC etc. I have already requested via email that could a MOD please clean out the rubbish from this thread (and hopefully give a warning to the poster involved) because it shows an utter lack of respect.

Please do not discuss this any further

More shader updates to come soon

You know, it will be possible to edit shader values via scripting. So there may be hope yet.

Cheers for the comments guys. Does anyone have any further requests for future shaders they would like to see? (keep it realistic)

Nice looking shaders, CoZ! Keep up the great work.
As for future shaders... bloom with eye-adaptation? Might be a bit complex, but it would be awesome to see.

Great work. A Cartoon fullscreen shader would be cool, something that gave a black outline on the everything. Something like Borderlands.

Or a cartoon object shader with normal mapping.

That request sounds familiar...

There is one in Dark Shader, but I couldn't get it working in FPSC, but it does look cool if it was possible to have it.

No, that doesn't have normal mapping.

I asked him to do this a while ago for a project. Which I have since decided not to go with.

So, if you want to make it CoZ, go ahead. If not then I don't care.

@Deathcow: Attached is a working version of the cartoon shader for you.

Quote: "cartoon object shader with normal mapping."

That isn't possible shader wise because your essentially asking me to apply a shader to another shader which isn't possible. If you want a cellshaded style effect like in 'XIII', then simply cellshade your textures in photoshop and then apply a soft normal map shader. Job done.

Quote: "bloom with eye-adaptation?"

I have a HDR shader completed although at this time, FPSC is unable to handle the complexety of the shader. FPSC shall be undergoing a few tweaks in the near future to allow for the complex nature of the shader.

Keep the suggestions coming

@CoZ

You can mix shaders, (at least I think you can) but yeah it would be a lot of work.

My hands are pitch black while using the black and white shader. Do I just need to up my lighting?

Actually, cranking the light sources up isn't helping, some of the characters are pitch black too.

That's not CoZ's shaders fault, but a recurring bug with FPSC.
Removing the effect from the character(s) .fpe normally makes them appear fine, until the bug is cured.

Will these shaders work with the new PB Version for V1.17? So we can mix shaders together with the Mod.ini file?

Open up the .fpe file for the character(s) that appears black. Then scroll down to the "effect = effectbank\xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.fx" and remove the effectbank\xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.fx so it looks like this "effect = "

.fpe files are just text files so you can edit in notepad etc.

Coz, I am super keen to get these shaders working.
A few questions..

1) Is there a download link

2) can you use these in commercial games (with FULL credit of coarse)

As Coz said, the screenshot is from Evolved's program and shader. You can download it for yourself here: http://www.evolved-software.com/shaders/refractionreflection

It's the one at the top of the page, it even has it's own .exe that you can use to check it out. It's pretty neat.

Yeah but Lee has messed it up for the time being

I think that the reflectionrefraction shader is getting quite old now, I much prefer the ADV lighting shaders, I like to fiddle around with it alot in DBpro aswell.

Yee, what you have to do is:
Change setup.ini
open fpsc then resave setupini
then close and reopen fpsc
(words for me)
