Replace the player() function with:

And look at the movement section at the top to see the changes.

Take a look at this section of the code:

If the player is doing nothing with changing Speed#, then it will slow down automatically. Change the 0.01 to whatever you think it should be, but keep in mind that it SHOULD NOT be a value greater than the ones for the player pushing fwd/back.

Does it go wierd when you fall off going fast? Or does it only do it when you go slow?

it goes
nuts when
you go
fast
or are
at a
weird angle
and go
fast.
i also
need this
loop code
to allow
for ANY
size mesh
to be
used
and it
still allows
u to
go around
the loop

The mesh size is not a problem. Take out the height variable and put in a constant 100. Everything works on that "size". The character will move the same way no matter what the size is. You can test it out using height=200 and see what it does.

As far as the "goes nuts" part, I'm not sure how to get rid of that. This was put in so you can "pause" at any time:

Set up areas in your code that you want to test and place "test#"=values/variables for whatever you are looking at. Press and hold "t" at any point to see what "test#" is. Rem out all the camera controls except for RotateCamera() and you will be able to move the camera to any angle to see where the player box is and evaluate the variables shown on screen (while holding "t"). See what conditions exist for the player box and for the normals of the loop. Something will give you a "this is where it happens" idea and you can go from there to put in a condition at which the player box actually falls off the loop instead of "freaking out".

Dude. I can't seriously do ALL the programming for you. I hate to leave you like this, but I need to get to my own project. I have given you tools to find the problem-- use them. If you can't find a way to fix it on your own, I'll check in sometime and help. I've dedicated more time to helping you these past few days than I have to my family or work or my project.

Please don't think I'm being a jerk, but you can figure some things out on your own. Think of what could cause the problem and try something that you think would fix it. If that doesn't work, re-think and try something else. As allways, BACKUP your working code before doing anything major or something you are unsure of.

Good luck.

The only problem will be the size of the loops. If you make them too big, the "physics" will not work right. The system we made works best with the size we tested it with. If you want to use a different size, adjust the collision conditions. Everything that has to do with size like:
move object 2,height*abs(Speed#)+height
&
coll=sc_raycastgroup(1,oldx#,oldy#-20,oldz#,newx#,newy#-20,newz#,2)
will have to be tweaked to get it to work right. You CAN vary the size of the loops some without too much trouble, but if you go too big or too small, it simply won't work. I don't know what the max/min size is for the loop, but you can try different ones to find out.

Remember, with Sparky's you have to set the size/scaling BEFORE you set up the collision or you have to use SC_allowObjectScaling Object_Num
to allow for scaling after the collision setup. Read the help for a better explaination.
