i've been trying to download efxmod for months now, and i finally figured out about a week ago that i had to downgrade to fps creator v1.07, so i do. then i go to http://efx.helixsoftware.eu/ and download efxmod v2. and every time i try to download it it just says. runtime error 8003 - could not find path at line 18155(or some other number) and it's starting to piss me off a bit. is there anyway i can solve this?

Download latest experimental version 2.0.2 [C0] (Build 1212) >> here."

I tried both and they worked. It just takes some time to calculate AI scripts when testing game.

replace the original fpsc_game.exe, with the efxmod fpsc_game.exe, you can't open the exe unless you have darkbasic pro.

I'd have to say........ The Game Creators can make dreams come true.

Actually, this is not correct. The sourcecode is compiled to executable code and does not need any additional software to run.

Sounds like you tried to execute the FPSC-Game.exe directly out of the archive. as FPSCgamerguy2 already wrote, you need to copy/extract the FPSC-Game.exe from the archive to your FPSC main directory.

If this doesn't work, please post a screenshot of the error message.

I meant to say, to open the game.exe to change it or something, you need dark basic pro.

efxMod development is currently paused. I'm on vacation and school does not leave much time to continue working on it. Though, there are inofficial beta versions. I hope to get some time in the future to create new plans for the next efxMod evolution.

And this is also incorrect. the FPSC-Game.exe is compiled to machine readable/executable code which can NOT be edited/changed afterwards. (Except some version information things that don't affect the core or any other functionality).
You can execute the file but you don't need DBP, as there is no sourcecode available, just the final, compiled EXE.
