Question, I was thinking of changing the images for my menu buttons, so I took a look at where FPSC keeps them. For example the NEW GAME button is stored at: languagebank\english\gamecore\backdrops\basic\newgame.tga But when I go there, there is no newgame.tga file, but there is a newgame.dds file, I am confused. why does it show a .tga file when it is a .dds file please explain?

I'm not sure exactly how the engine does it, but it substitutes dds for tga. To replace the existing image, simply make a new dds or tga of the same name, or use a different name and change the reference to it in the proper fpi file.
