Dots ā€˜nā€™ Boxes
This is the old pencil and paper game where the players take turns to connect two dots and form a square.

How to play
Players take turns joining two dots to form a line. Players must aim to draw the fourth line of a box. When a player does this, the box gets coloured with the players colour, when all boxes have been coloured, the player with the most coloured boxes is the winner.

Players
1 Player: You can play against the computer (AI).
2 Player: Two human players play against each other.
3 Player: Three human players play against each other.
4 Player: Four human players play against each other.

You can play on an 8x8 grid or a 4x4 grid.

Nice game

I played some rounds against the computer. And when we both hat 8 boxes on a 4x4 grid it said I won
You should at a check there, when it's a tie.

Except for that, it's very nice. Another suggestion: highlight (different color) the last line someone/the Computer put. Or add that as an option.

And online multiplayer would be very cool

Glad you liked it.

Thank you for your suggestions. Highlighting the last move is a great idea. And I'll add check for a tie in the next version. As for online, that would be cool but i just want to keep things simple for now.

EDIT: The newer version is available in the first post. This version will highlight the last line drawn, and will say if the game was a draw.

Very well done, and quite entertaining. I only played about 4 games of it.. So this may already be available. A fun option for the ones that are good at this game (I am not) would be to add a timer between the players turn. There was a time I took about 3 minutes to chose a move cause I wanted to 'outsmart' the AI..Didn't work..Nice job man!

Thanks guys for your kind words, I am very glad you liked it.

@Sergeant Mike: I thought of the timer idea the other day when i was playing my girlfriend, she tried to outsmart me lol. The idea is on my list for the next update.

That's cool. It's not hard to outsmart the computer, but otherwise it would be too frustrating. I wonder what the best way to play this is. I just googled and there's quite a lot of stuff about it. Quite interesting.

Thanks for playing.

I wasn't aiming to have a really smart A.I because that would take the fun out of it for 'non-smart' people.
