Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone was interested in hiring a trained voice actor? If I were to upload samples, etc. I've had 5 years of vocal training at drama school and privately, I can do practically any voice you could request and I've been using FPSC for a long while.

I have professional recording equipment, it would be of very high quality.

I'm just scouting if there's a market for it before I put up a proper thread, I wouldn't charge much, just trying to make a dent in my overdraft...

I know a lot of developers could use this. Unfortunately I don't have a project going on anymore, so I can't nom this up before others do. I say you should make a proper thread. Almost every WIP could use voice acting.

To anyone who lives in England: I liked London when I went two weeks ago.

EDIT: What is your fee per line?

I'm free all summer, no such thing as too many requests

All I do with my time is sit at home and talk in strange voices (that and my animation work), only takes a few minutes to set up a mic and do it, haha.

What sort of things do you want to hear? In terms of examples. Feel free to make suggestions for voices, dialouge, etc. Will help alot in getting a good load of samples done! =]

EDIT: @The Imperfect Sheep

I'll likely charge a flat rate. I'll ask for a script then price it depending on length. Or perhaps charge per page. Per line is a bit too fiddly, haha. I'd send samples as I went to make sure it was to your liking.

Unless of course people would rather pay per line, I could work with that. Though one line is such a small thing comparatively its hard to know how much to charge for one individually. It's like selling a model one polygon at a time, haha.

Thanks for the info Flash ! Charging per page / script sounds like a better idea. Can't wait to hear those samples as well.

Any time!

I've decided the best thing to do would probably be to read a passage from a book or something and switch voices as I go. That sound like a good idea?

If you've any requests of things to hear, be they voices or dialogue feel free to ask and I'll do it =]

Maybe the 'one liners' could be your free samples and charge for the rest.

I doubt there are a lot of people here willing to pay for voice acting since most of the projects here are hobbies and not commercial.
But I have been wrong before, and I don't want to sound negative or anything, so go for it.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Hehe, righto! Well I'll get something done for either later tonight or tomorrow. Check back and I'll have a new thread up and a link to it on here too.

Still open to more suggestions from anyone however!
