Theres a couple of things you can try...

SET OBJECT TEXTURE obj,0,0

That will disable mipmapping.

And more severe...

SET OBJECT FILTER obj,0

Health, Ammo, and bacon and eggs!

SET OBJECT FILTER did it!

How can I add a Depth of Field effect so it blurs it a LITTLE bit, and makes it sharp? its a little too sharp now.

I think it would be best to use a higher resolution image now, maybe 320x32, so you can have bigger text, and it won't go crazy when you scale it - also I would use 'Arial Bold', it's quite a readable font.

There's no escaping the problems with filtering when using 3D. That's why I suggest sprites, as that way you have full control, however it does mean every health bar is the same size.

ok. i fixed it.

now i need it only to fade in the healthbars and update the healthbars when the camera gets within the given range of getdist(), and fade back out when the camera gets far away from the enemy.

okay i made some changes to your code and put a " //CHANGED" after the lines. Distance check works and player healthbar is always visible. (was covered by the enemy cube before, because you moved the Healthbar 5 Units away from the camera.)
The Healthbar of the Player is now locked to the screen.

it's still saying 1000100
after changing it to inc p.health, 10000

i need to be able to add as many health points as possible to the players current health and still have it go up to 1000000 not 1000100

not look at this health bit , but if you are only getting an increase of 100 each time then you may need to multiply it, or are you saying that when you add 1000000 you get 1000100.

2 questions.

1. how can i fix the 1000100 problem so i can use ANY number for p.health# and p.maxhealth#?

2. how can I make it so if it is equal to or > than 1 million, it says 1.25M/1.25M, 2.25M/2.25M, etc, yet still count up or down
like in WoW?

i changed it so that the player is the cube.

problem is, the health bar is still attached to the camera and when increasing the number, it doesnt work, or goes to 1000100

Ah! see problem now there a 100 set in code some where because if you use maxinc# and maxdec# set to 100.0 the bar start as 100/1000000 and then go up to 1000000 but when there set to 100000 it adds the 100 to the 100000 giving to 1000100.

well this will give you a number between -1000 to 1000 each time you run it

or this , replace this when the other code is for if keystate 44 or 45.

ok. for some reason the gold circles on this healthbar are flickering as if overlapping. how do i make it so the plain for the circle is invisible and make the texture so its LESS see through than it already is? by less i mean the gold circle shouldnt be as transparent. so that way it looks like the glass is connected to the circles.

how can i make it so if the player distance >= 10, then hide the healthbars, else show the healthbars.

how can i ALSO make it so if the camera distance between the camera and the enemy <= 1.6 (gets close) then hide the healthbars, else show the healthbars?
