Nice one again Frap, there seems to be texture quality loss near the nose, mind posting the flats/wires?

Please tell me how you managed to unwrap this plane because I have a couple planes of my own and everytime I try to unwrap them in blender my UV's end up distorted and confusing.

These are the UV's for the first plane

Maybe you can give me a couple tips on how to unwrap in blender because everytime I try I fail.......Miserably.

kordman916, Sorry I have no idea on how to use Blender but what may help is to apply a chequered map to your model to check your UV lay out, look for obvious stretching and distortion in the map and adjust accordingly.

Been meesing around and have added a specular and normal map

Cheers guys, I actually modelled this about a year ago and due to some computer troubles and what have you it has sat there quietly gathering dust until yesterday when I decided to finally get around to painting the texture. Still not finished yet but its getting there.

Thank you for the nice comments, Ive been sorting out one ro two smoothing problems and painted the underside, now the base colours are down I can start on the details

[Edit]

Starting to add all the panel details now and made the paint a little more realistic though you cant really see it from this distance.

3D-for-games is currently has a compo on, first prize a PS3 and plenty of other goodies. The theme being Streamliner so I thought I would make a sail car just to do something different.

Cant decide if I should go for a three wheeler which would give a very clean front end or a four wheeler which would give me some options.
