Before you crap your pants, I'm not leaving FPSC. I'm trying to completely reinstall it. The reason being that v1.17 and v1.18 beta won't work, but others will. The uninstaller crashes when I try to remove it.

Freak, just rename (or delete) the entire FPSC folder and re-install v1, then the 1.17 or 1.18 update.

YES!! I finally got v1.18 beta to work!! I installed Vista SP1 (from Microsoft website, because Vista apparently thought it would be funny for it to not show up in my updates thing) and it works! Particles are awesome, and since I installed v1.18 right on top of v1 I get better framerates than I've ever gotten in FPSC!

You can still reformat/upgrade to Windows 7.

Yeah, if I had the money to spend on Windows 7 I would. But for now, I'm fine with Vista.
