If its like my Blackberry phone/PDA it'll be Java.
In my case, yes, I can program it if I wanted to learn Java (which I dont).

depends on the OS onboard...
most you'd use Java with a phone specific class, however Symbian based phones use C++

I never wanted a mobile phone until I saw some of the cool games on TV, I mean who would'nt like Speedball2 on their mobile phone!.

How about DB Lite for mobile phones...

well if they get like an os for mobile devices then they can have a whole new area of game programming as they can be more advanced...even 3d if I knew a bit more about this stuff I might consider trying to make something compatible.
