Can someone lead me to a good tutorial on how to make diffuse, normal, and spec maps?

preferably in Photoshop but anything can do.

And also, to all the excellent modelers/texture..ist, how did you get so good? Where did you learn from?? this stuff is hard. lol.

Anyway, thanks to anyone that help.

Who the hell is General Failure? And why is he trying to read my hard disk?

Practice mate

Some tips:
Try using grungy layers on top of your original texture, giving it more detail.

Using your own photographs is a great idea for textures as well, check this link, all the segments there are made from my photographs, then edited [http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=172858&b=24]

Other than that, keep practicing!!

As for shaders, I have no idea

Heheh Um... yeah

Naw, a chip? That would be so unrealistic. The truth is that aliens come and they do something with your head, attach you to your computer, add a nicotine-like addiction and set you off on your way.

Ok, fine, it's just practice.

If something is perfect, it probably doesn't work. -PWP
