You can create menus have and connect win32 with dark gdk.
All you have to do is connect it.
this is hieghtmap version 2 it is alot better then version one.
have not compleated the menu items but i have a good start.

You can have professional
save as files
load files

Go through yourself at a wall.

I give a hint on how to do it also look up my old code I made 5 years ago on opengl with mfc. If you can follow that then I pretty sure you can do it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with 'connect' but
maybe this old tutorial (attached) helps, too.
I think it's easy to follow. After that you're ready to make some cool editors and stuff

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

it have been done several times, i've done it myself, nothing hard really, if you know how to work with winAPI, you won't find any problems, mista wilson was the first to do it i believe, you can search his post on this board, his code is VERY messy because he copy-pasted alot from theforger winapi tutorials, but you can understand it and find it helpful after tidying it up

the key is to use dbOverrideWindow ( ) (not sure about the name), after creating the parent window
