I keep getting the Image number Illegal Run time error in reference to the sprites I'm trying to load, can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong with this code? sorry it is probably a mess.

Try LOAD IMAGE instead of LOAD BITMAP. That may fix it.

EDIT: Your choice of characters reminds me of the arena in Kingdom of Loathing

yeah i believe that either using Load Image "media\Yellow_6.png", 16 would probably help or using GET IMAGE would benefit you, i THINK you have to get the sprite from an IMAGE rather than a bitmap.

I will try thank you so much for such prompt responses,
@ Rich Dersheimer> Kingdom of Loathing? I've never played. I shall look it up!

Edit: Holy Poo-zers, it's always the small crap isn't it, I had an angst session on this combined with semi-pro active tossing about of books and looking up info, I didn't realize something small like that lol! Can you use the image command for .bmp's or are they not enter-changeable at all?

P.S. KoL is Hilarious and full of win. I want to take out hoards of ninja snowmen!

Think of bitmaps as things you can draw to, and images as things you can draw with (it's not quite that black and white any more, but that should sort you out).
