Well I attempted a lego man, I couldn't get the hands right but oh well. He's pretty low poly (I think) and he's ok for my 3rd attempt.
Anway I forgot to save after and I closed blender and I lost the hands which took me a while cause I couldn't get them right! Oh well it's 2am i'm gonna try to finish... again, before I goto bed...
This is what it looked like before I quit.





What do you guys think for me being a noob at blender?
(I need )

EDIT: It only actually took my 15-20 mins to finish the hands and fix the feet a bit (I looked at my lego guy)
I think this model here looks better than the above.
The vertices on this finished model is: 607
Faces: 609

EDIT 2: Colored him and fixed the feet



What do you guys think of THIS model?

looks good but remember that lego hands were designed as separate removable parts. and the hand part was extremely rounded(depending on the hand) any way looks good looks very lego like. although whats with the rounded part on the legs.

I can tell what it is, so that's good . One thing that caught my eye is the feet - they look really lumpy for some reason. They should really be just flat, right-angled boxes, you could save a couple of polies by changing them.

@Azunaki if you look at a lego guy they have a rounded part on there legs (turn him sideways and look). And also I couldn't do the hands, I couldn't get them right so I decided to do them my way

@BMacZero Ok, Thanks, I will try and fix the feet (make them more box-like)

After that i'm gonna try coloring him.

The original hands look exactly the same as lego hands? Anyway, the arms need to be rounded.




I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

@AAAgreen I don't think i'm gonna round the arms, for this being my 3rd model but maybe later when I get better i'll do it in more detail. Also I like the hands how they are, I wasn't going for a perfect lego man, just something I thought looked ok

@Everyone does anyone know how I can make eyes and a mouth? Will I have to make a section round and then color it or is there an easier way?

for lego facial features I would use an animated texture.

easy peacy man!, delete the arms, make a cylinder, with say 12-14 sides and 5 edgeloops, position it and woalah!
the lego man does look fine, the hands need a bit work and the legs.. that rounded thing what is it? the upper body and the head aregood though^^
