Never had an issue ever. Click browse, select your file, post topic/reply, wait a while until TFC Forums uploads the file from your PC, done - your topic/reply is posted along with your attached file.

How long does it take for a thread w/o a screenshot to be locked? My Edge of Time project is finally starting to pick up, and yet. Here are a list of things I do not know about forums.
- Why do the members get impatient when new members post something?
-Uplinking files from a hard drive??
-Java seems to have bugs.
etc..

The future is coming.

members do not so much get impatient, as they try to stop your topic getting locked by spamming you with rules required stuff.

I replied to your e-mail showing you exactly how to upload an image from your HDD, with a picture even :p

JAVA is a giant bug :p

Ussually people get impatient because most questions have been asked and answered... People are just too lazy to search

Cheers,
Anayar

I would like some members opinions on the matter at hand. My Edge of Time thread was locked just because I accidentally let an expression out that was not even directed at a moderator, or even a member of the forum. I had just started to get into the pattern of the forum. I also wish for a direct opinion from each of the moderators, or else I am leaving this site and closing my account. I will go back to the Morroblivion project where I was more appreciated. I never even got my quetion answered about the Dark AI problem. Please reply.

No no no, it wasn't because you said WTF. It was because your first post in the thread wasn't updated to the WIP rules... Therefore they lock it, and that's that.

Wolf mate no mods are picking on. The mods here are more like family members than mods normally found on forums. You will be hard pushed to find nicer more understanding mods in my honest opinion.

Your topic was locked for the simple reason you keep muddling on without really reading the rules, even after the mods (and members) have tried to help you do such.

KeithC even posted an Example of how a WIP topic should look with everything it should contain>
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=171920&b=25

It can be really upsetting when KeithC goes to all that trouble to help us out and we just ignore it and go our own way

I for one really do not think you were treated bad. You for some reason e-mailed me talking about your troubles and I replied with help on the matter and you still ignored what I had to say and did not even reply back to acknowledge my reply
So in the end you get back what you put in I guess.

I was listening all along, and I even looked at the rules page all the way through. I have issues when things have to be set up a certain way. However, half the time things were not fully explained. I had to figure out the jpg thing myself, and now it seems I even have to figure out the Dark AI thing myself. One of the major reasons why I even joined the forums was to be able to share my projects and ideas with other people like me since I have only lived in Grafton a short time, and made no friends here. sigh.

Well you made a friend here in me, so do not give up. I am always willing to help anyone I can (I'm so fatherly ) Maybe take a look at your own sig and we can work it all out.

I'm not actually sure where you got that strange jpg resolution idea from, but screenshots do not have to be that size, they can be upto 1024x768.

If you really do have trouble posting screenshots, send them to me by e-mail, I will host them on my server and e-mail you back what to post in your topic to make them show up. Then once you get the hang of it all you will be fine.

Just take a good look at KiethC's example and you will see what your WIP requires.
