It's much easier in FPSC,because this engine was made for First Person.Second,I would suggest you start with learning the fpi coding language,it's not hard and level design and lighting. Lighting is one of the most important expects of making a game appealing.
If you're making a education game I also suggest you buy model pack 44 or 45,because I think it would fit in your educational game.
And last,"Bring me a chicken" and "put the fork on the table",are very easy things to do.For the first one you'll need to find or make a model of a chicken and assign it as a key (look at the key's properties for guidance) and for the fork,make the for a dynamic object,so you can pick it up and then apply a script (I'm sorry I forgot which,but I know it's possible,U believe the answer is in the official FPSC community guide) to the table,so that if the fork is detected on the table,let's say,a door opens.
