I can get a room built and put in things that shoot at me. How do I make it where if I kill one they drop a key? Or make a door locked until a "boss" is killed? I can get switches to work, but I don't want to do everything based on a switch.

Use their "IfUsed" property along with the "destroyandactivate.fpi"
Then just use it to spawn a key, open a remote door etc etc.

If used counts them as "used" if I attack them or something?

The destroyscript (runs on the death of an AI) will activate whatever entity was named in the AI's "IfUsed" property. So if you had a key, or drop item and set that to not spawn at start and placed the name of it in the AI's IFUsed property, it would spawn into the level on the AI's death.

You could also use the AI's death as a key and make it open previously locked doors etc.

Thanks! Does it automatically spawn the key where the death occurred or do I need ot do that manually?

You know what I have no idea if you can spawn where the death occurred. I normally set the key holding AI in a locked room with the player, then place the objective entity into a solid wall and set it to not spawn at start. Then when the entity is spawned via the AI's IfUsed property on death the entity will fly across the room and settle in a random place as if it flew out from the corpse or something.

FPSC does not like dynamic entities spawning in solid objects, so fires them out on spawning. This is really useful for lots of things, like debris from explosions and even flying cars

Spawning objects at entities is possible using Project Blue.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to add this "Project Blue" to my list of things to get. Is it the same language, just more commands?

What would the goodies and enhancements be if not more commands?

Timer based system, variable system, massive performance increase, fullscreen shaders, more conditions and actions, contains Lemur for multiplayer, camera control, contains XR Mod for rain and dynamic lights, weapon scripts, AirMod, shorter loading times. Though some of these features are redundant due to 1.17.
