Hello am just posting my first 3D model of a crate which i followed a tutorial on and learned how to model,uv map,and texure a 3D object.Please comment and give me feedback.

Not bad. I would add some more detail to the texture though. Maybe add some scratches and dirt. Make that logo a little scraped of. Add nails or screws.

All im trying to get as is that it looks too perfect haha. Even straight out of the factory things are dirty.

I like the new wood grain, but it is way too saturated. Town down that and add some more detail like Osiris said, and you'll be looking mighty spiffy!

Nails, graffiti, text, scraps/splinters, etc all add to the believability of the model.

I once read an article somewhere, give each prop a story, what has this object had to go through to get to the point it is today? It was made in a factory, and stamped with a delivery address. On the way it was left in a rain storm and suffered from rain damage. Once it finally reached its destination, it was dropped from the truck resulting in a splinter on its corner. ETC.

Looks good

Now try adding some bent nails or metal caps for the box corners might look cool.

Do each of the sides have unique texture space or are they all overlapped?
