FPSC Classic Product Chat / FPS Creator Disappears on Launch

XP Pro SP3

Haven't used FPS in about 8 months.
Came to launch today and it got to the main layout and then just disappeared off the screen.

I updated my XP System via MS Software Update.
Update to latest Direct X
Uninstalled FPS via Add/Remove Programes and Uninstall via. FPS Creator Installer
Installed v 1.0 from the CD and applied FPS updater 1.17

Launched FPS Creator got to the main layout and then just disappeared off the screen.

Uninstalled FPS via Add/Remove Programes and Uninstall via. FPS Creator Installer
Installed v 1.0 from the CD and applied FPS updater 1.16

Launched FPS Creator got to the main layout OK.
Tried to open any project and it either crashes for O get the -3002 error about Audio

Cleaned my whole system with Norton Utilties 2010 latest
The system and PC worked absolutely perfectly with everything else but FPS Creator BTW !

Launched FPS Creator got to the main layout and then just disappeared off the screen.
Norton said it had discovered and illegal outing access and deleted the program.

(all updates downloaded from your website BTW)

Have you added the FPSC folder to the list of places where Norton wont be allowed to block/delete programs etc?

Norton may be good, but it's extremely paranoid

I hear that. Sound like the virus program quarentined the executable. tell Norton to get its hands of your files.
All will be fine after that.

That's why I use avast

I think Norton should go see a theropist about it's paranoya lol

No.. norton is the worst, you will be doing yourself a favor by uninstalling norton. I have worked with Anti-virus's for years now, and my job requires use of them everyday, I would recommend Kaspersky 2011 for civilian use.

I use Avast, but I have heard good words for Kaspersky too.

But yeah, avoid Norton. Although I've never used it personally, I've heard nothing but bad words.


I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.
