Hey,

Some of the DBPro Standard Plugins (those found in "Compilers\plugins"), I assume are built with Debug... (Hence the Debug in the names)

Any chance of being able to build DBPro projects with the Plugins built in Release mode?

Would be faster, smaller, and more efficient.

If you have DBPRO then you can build projects with it.What plugins you are gonna need depends on the games you want to make. There is a lot of free plugins, some of them are a must have.Congratulations for joining our comunity and good luck with making games. If you aren't familiar with coding at all probably you are gonna write mostly in Newcomers Corner, don't worry many good people visit it to help newbies. In time you gonna build experience and skills and your first game won't late!Your efforts one day may actually make you money when your games reach certain level of quality.About plugins, you are gonna need them just to simplify your life in most cases. There are few that is good to buy/have so your game can be realesed in short time and look pretty. It's your call!

Not true, they are built in release mode.

I believe (although this will need to be confirmed by Lee) that the original idea was to have two sets of almost identical plug-ins - ones with runtime checking built-in (debug), and a faster set with all of the checking removed (release).

However, the runtime checks in the debug version take such a small amount of the actual code and use so little processor time that it'd be a waste of time to build the release versions as originally envisaged - this last bit is my opinion based on my own plug-ins original and later reinforced by my experience with the code for the standard plug-ins.
