Hello everyone,

Well in light of Obama taking out the rest of the US troops from Iraq, Im taking a break from making overlays to bring you guys War-Torn Model Pack !!

If anyone could offer me some tuts. or other helpful tips I would appreciate it...

Setting buildings etc up as dynamic to use tile sets will be a big no no (in my opinion)

Vortech: Most of them are multitextured... I can uv map a select few depending on public interest

Nbt: Why can't the buildings be dynamic??The destroyed house will not let the player go inside unless it is dynamic (something about collision)!

1. They receive and cast no real shadows from light mapping, so will look very strange in game.
2. Dynamic entities do not like being in contact with anything static.
3. Not really sure how well the AI will find trying to walk about inside a dynamic building.

Not really sure why your having collision problems in regards to them being static to be honest. I would have thought you would have far more trouble regarding collision with them being dynamic.

Anyway as stated it is just my opinion, nothing more.

Soviet176: Would you be able to create some sandy hills terrain for this pack??... I think some of the middle eastern buildings would look epic with some sandy terrain (I would make my own, but mine always has collision issues ).... Reply if you can

I would love to, but I use T.ED, which is easy to make terrain but it also has a lot of collision issues with AI.

Aww...Man that sucks... I just thought itd be neat for players to kill terrorists or other enemies on real terrain instead of "flat" ground

Dynamic entities have box collision by default, unless you turn collision off the player cant enter it. As stated dynamic entitties do not cast shadows and do not even recieve static lighting leading to all over lighting on the model only recieved from ambience.
Since the introduction of null space enemy AI will not walk on anything other then 100x100 unit segments there are a couple of small workarounds for this but not worth the effort when you can simply create your meshes correctly in the first place.

If you can enter the building with it dynamic then your pivot is off centre or you have turned off collision, as I said above dynamic entities ONLY use box collision. If your pivot is in right place then poly collision should have no issues with the player.

Null space was introduced around V1.6 to stop enemy AI from walking off of platforms etc, it detects the end edge of segments thus if your mesh is not 100x100 units sliced into individual segments the AI will simply stand around at the centre of the pivot point (provided they spawned there, if you spawn them anywhere else on the mesh they will simply fall though or bounce up and down or at best be stuck where they are)

Finished the destroyed Car... the base mesh is by Colgrate (I just destroyed it ), the model was free for commercial and non-commercial use
