Hey everyone,
I'm Morgan and I've been using Fps Creator for a long time now,
I'd say 3-4 years. Yet I still need to learn stuff. I've tried
making models but I just can't find the right program. I got no clue how to correctly export my model and it's texture. I'm 14.

Anyways, now that I'm done my intro.
I would like to know how to adjust the darkness and brightness
of my level. For Example when your making a test level and you press the "<" key the level will become darker.
But after building a game it goes back to normal.
How do I make it so my built game is dark as well?

Hi Morgan,

After you build the game open the folder containing your game and go to the files, then open the languagebank folder then english (in my case) then gamebank. There you will see a folder with the name of your game. Open it and open the setup level.fpi. About the eighth line down should contain the line that looks like this

:state=0:ambience=5,ambiencered=255,ambiencegreen=255,ambienceblue=255

The ambience setting is your brightness from 0-100. You can also adjust the ambience color from here using the other 3 numbers.

As far as modeling try starting with Blender.org. It is free and many, many tutorials on how to use it.

Thank you raymondly, Your strategy worked.
But the second strategy about ajusting build game options doesn't work because whenever I go back to game it reverts back to normal...
I've tried blender but there was this problem because there was a plugin or button missing in order to make the texture/uv file..
I'm gonna try it again...thx again to the both of you for helping.
