Ok, i have used this before, and ive always had the same problem but i've mostly tried to ignore it but i want to settle the score finally.

Whenever I import the object and i pick what style map i want to use, it is always out of proportions, what ways are there to fix this other then by eye.

The UV area for Lithunwrap always matches the dimensions of the window it's in... Unfortunately, that means most of the time your UV maps look rectangular (especially if you maximize the window).

I haven't found anyway to get around this other than manually resizing the window to a square shape, but I have to do it by eye.

hehe thanks for the responses, unfortunately i do not have the money for 3ds max, and i wont have the money for Ultimate unwrap 3d until my check clears with the bank.
Do you guys have any opinions on whether ultimate unwrap is worth it?
I remember Van B telling me it was good for the money.
