I have released a new version of Double Dragon Forever. It can be downloaded from here: http://cmcgames.blogspot.com

The problem is it requires compatibility mode under 7 /vista, otherwise it will crash instantly.

I don't have Vista / 7 here, so, can anyone tell me why it's crashing? Is it a DarkBASIC Pro thing?

No, I don't use extends.
I'm using multijoy and enhancements. Can anyone confirm enhancements works with 7 / vista?

I had Enhancements setup on my old Vista 64 setup but cant remember. I have Win7pro64 now, so I can test the enhancements demos when I get round to downloading/installing it. I`m currently doing a lot of work on my machine but if I get half a chance I`ll do it soon.

Ok - couldn`t help myself - had to test; everything works(except speech but compatability mode didn`t help any). Perhaps its the other multijoy plugin which I dont have(dont have a pad or stick either) so unless the plugin has commands that dont need hardware there like for example to test for hardware presence I wouldnt be able to test any exe you might upload. Upload one anyway in case someone else with vista/win7 who does have a pad or stick to test with wishes to test for you.

Okay, I have created a simple testcase.

Test1 doesn't use any extension.

Test2 uses multijoy.

Test3 uses the INI function from multijoy, wich I think is the footprint.

Can you tell me how they behave on Vista / 7 ?

Can you upload here please - Im using a dongle and have issues trying to get content control switched off ever since I tried topping up via the internet so I can`t download it

All run succesfully but the third does not end succesfully - instead of ending smoothly on pressing escape I get the DarkBASIC Pro Project has stopped working message which takes ages to end. Tried it in compatability mode for xp - it continues to end unsuccesfully. Tried it in compatability mode for 98/me and it was a succesfull exit. So your problem lies right there
