I got bored of normal topics and decided to post this question for the sake of seeing everyone's reaction. Hope's it's cool and not too geeky (note: I'm not a big RPG fan):

"What's the coolest monster (organic/ inorganic / half-organic...) that you've ever had the pleasure of (facing, playing as, witnessing...) in a (video game, movie, book, etc.)? Did you like it's uniqueness, powers, fitting environment, what? It could even be from Yu-Gi-OH for all I care..."

I personally have a drab one that I'm sure you can top: Rhodan. I personally thought that he was way cooler than the boring Godzilla; he had way more weapons too (massive claws, laser-eye, sawblade down the abdomen).

Hmm, facing? Skeith from .Hack//Infection. I finally beat the fool, and I'm so happy!

But, if I had the pleasure to control the monster (as a DM in D&D) it would have to be the Magi Omega (yep, same one from my Darkside of the Cresent Moon story/project.) I whooped the PC's good!

Out of healthy curiosity, what exactly is Skeith? I've researched him on google and can't get any pics, or considerable info.

i don't even have a clue what this .Hack//Infection thing he keeps going on about is...

would have to say my favourite monster has to be the Garganta from Half-Life, simply because it looks like a beatle with attitude
but that would be very closely followed by the Supreme Ice Dragon from Warcraft3 - that beauti is just awesome.

i'm totally a dragon freak though, they're like my favourite creatures of all time ... swear if genetic cloneing and dna manipulation ever gets to the point where you could play god and actually make one - definately that would be something i'd want made love 'em to bits

Skeith is a giant statue thing that has the ability to Data Drain, a skill that can put people in the real world into comas, I managed to find a pic (man, couldnt find many pics of the game though, wonder why?):

PS: I just beat him an hour ago, along with .Hack//Infection. I've already ported my save file data to Mutation, and I'm working on it now.

I face him pretty often, it's terrible, I get so scared ... he follows me. Everytime I look into the mirror, I can see him

Possibly related: did you like researching about dinosaours as a kid. I know I did, and yes, dragons are cool...

i like Dino's too
probably why i preffered Dino Crisis 1&2 to Resident Evil, wanna get my hands on 3 soon...

there's also a new series of zoids being aired in like a weeks time on CN which i'm kinda stoked about (^_^)
i prefer dragons alot more to dinosaurs, but they're both pretty cool.

dragons kinda have the attitude though, oftenly more solitary creatures, slender, fearsome to look at and designed for praying on animals
i'm more into the western/english style of dragons, kinda like a velociraptor with wings ... but they always have those heads which just looked truely fearsome

Faced?

Hmmmmmm...

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

I think that'd be Vampire Ancients from Daggerfall. Those things had amazing sound effects and atmosphere, very well drawn for the few pixels they had to use, and it was pretty creepy how (unlike other spellcasters in the game) they would save up all their attacks for a stream of close-range slaying spells. So you wouldn't know if you were good enough to beat them until it was... TOO LATE!

I'd also put the dragon from Dragonheart in there. I really loved its design...

Safer (or Saviour, depending on who you ask) Sephiroth.

Yeah, I know the graphics are pretty obsolete, but he's still so freaking cool looking.

Have you seen the onsters in that new Ghosthunter game?

Check out the giant monster teddybear that beats you up with a little girl, the rednecks with chainswaws, and the giant bloated redneck that gets spewed up by a crocodile!

Safer Sephiroth for sure but the Red Gear (Id's gear) from Xenogears was an awsome sight to be seen, also the fights with Deux, Id, Grapht, and Duex's final form (not to be confused with the last boss fight). Other than that there are:
Lavos Core, Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Gygas, Earthbound (SNES)
Ganon, Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES)
End boss of Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1)
Kefka, FFIV (SNES)
