So I had stepped away from modeling for a few weeks, breaks are nice, but it's time to get back to it.

My new project is an short range armored fighter sized to seat a crew of 5. It will have interior and exterior.

Progress so far: I've blocked out a rough low poly concept to get the major forms down. I'm planning to sketch out details over the renders and go from there.

I know there are some funky smoothing issues as it transitions from the forward curves to the blocky rear, but my focus has been more on silhouette.

edit: it's currently 690 poly's

So, first impressions?

I like it. It's smooth yet bulky - reminds me of a chubby manta ray...

not a big update, but it's been a busy weekend. Making progress though! It's now unwrapped.
