EDIT:
Okay, I have fixed the layer exporting problem, however, now when I use the .dbo format a bunch of weird things happen;

1. My player object moves up and down rapidly
2. whenever you press a key to move, my map goes away, and the players coordinates all become '1.#QNAN'. (Any1 know what that means???)
3. the parts of the map (not the terrain) that are my buildings have the general color of their texture on them, but its not actually textured, just colored.

Anyone know how I could go about fixing any of these problems?

Notes: I am using sparky's dll, the code for collision i am using is pretty much the code out of sparky's sliding demo with a few mods added to it.(nothing to the actual collision itself though.)

My game works completely fine with a .x model, but I cant use it because it doesnt save terrain layers.

.x doesn't save the blending. Export to .dbo and it should work.

I would use the dbo format, but i have one problem. Whenever i use it, it does a bunch of funky stuff. My player shifts up and down a bit, and continues to untill you move. However, once you move, the players coordinates become '1.#QNAN', whatever that means, and there is nothing around the player, my map is nowhere to be seen.

Any one got any ideas how I can fix this/stop it from happening?

What are you using for collision to keep your player from falling through?

For collision i am using sparkys dll, and im just using what he put in the sliding demo, with a few minor mods made to it, nothing to the actual collision though.

Another problem I've noticed with using a .dbo is that my terrain is fine, but my models on the terrain are all 'pastel', it seems to have the general color of the texture on the object, but the textures not actually there.
