Dont ever base your assuptions or work flow from a game. Im so very tired of people claiming there a genius since they know a set list of guns from a game, then base there entire knowledge on it. Stop oggeling on a game and follow refereces of the actual weapon or at least be creative and do a weapon that hasnt been done a thousand times.

The slant is i remember correctly is more noticable in the standard french arms. It was orginally developed to reduce sight miscalulations due to targets being over/under aimed. The irons cannot be adjusted (well not drastically) so that they could easily be mastered without tweaking and repairs to the sights. This meant that french could have a out of shop force ready to fire without the delay of customisation of sights, meaning less lag time in training and deployment. I could go on for a few hours. Point is, i didnt learn a dam thing about it off cod other than a few strange things you could attach, then a few 'camos' that would get you shot in most battlefields.

Yes im being quite strong willed about this, but im tired of the un-originality that comes with the territory of gun selection. Give us something new!

Jeeze...what's with all these dumb guns? No offense, but I'm tired of seeing 30 gun wip threads in this forum...it seems FPSC mods are transferring some of them over here as well...

Honestly, gun's are boring...model something else!

So CoD can be innacurate, but i cant? The only famas i have seen for FPSC ws in model pack 5, and i was just attempting to make a better version but NO its not acurate, unoriginal, and pretty much a waste of time! Thanks alot...

josh maybe a lot of people on here want to be weapon artists? Is that such a strange thought?

And don't stop, keep going, you shouldn't stop based on what someone else says, but you should use what other people say to help you and to make your work better, so please, finish this model, and I'm looking forward to the final product

I think it's more accurate to say, while no doubt lots of people want to be gun artists, there just aren't that many slots for them. It's wise to practice other... objects as well. I'd love to see people working on environments more often around here.

@AJ: It's a good start so far mate. There are somethings that need to be fixed like the others have mentioned. Go ahead and finish it, I'd love to see what you come up with, just when you're done, don't forget to try practicing something else as well.

Who knows, maybe you are a really good enviro/character artist!

yeah dude for a first model it's amazing, but it looks a bit wierd without the handle and the ammo thingy (im tired and can't remember the name) but my first one was a VERY blocky pistol... and 2nd was a OK looking AK47 haha but good luck =D (im right now working on a AK74 w/bayonet, almost done just need to edit some of the widths... my least favorite part)

I want coke, not Pepsi!
