In CS4 i made a simple spaceship interior, and i want to load the .X model with all of the textures. If i just load the model (and all the textures) into DBpro it still comes out black.

It should work. Could you post the model? I won't need the textures.

I can't see anything wrong with your object. Well, it certainly doesn't come out black at least. As far as I can tell the textures seem to be applied to appropriate parts of the model.

Here are the test code and textures I used.

I have no idea what you've done wrong.

Hope this helps.

Are you loading the textures seperately and applying them to the mesh, or are you simply loading the .x and letting DBP load the textures according to the .x format?

If you let DBP do it and your textures are not in the same directory as your mesh, they won't load.... Or at least that's what I've experienced.

The fastest code is the code never written.

Depends on the filename specified in the X file I guess. In this case you're right and I guess that's what he did wrong - since he doesn't tell us exactly what he did that is just another guess.

I've just tested that and it works fine with your object. In fact I tried two methods and they both worked:

Method 1

Method 2

Are you absolutely sure the model and its textures are in the same folder? It works fine when I do that.
