I have a ".x" image that was created using 3ds Max 9 as well as it's .png textmap. The following code is currently in use and no texture is being displayed on the object.

What is my problem?

Maybe the model is loading in, or trying to load in a wrong texture file - there used to be problems with texture file names >8 characters.

I think this will reset all texturing, so try TEXTURE OBJECT 1,0 before texturing.

Other than that, we'd have to really see the model and texture first hand to spot anything.

If the object uses multi-material texturing then you can't re-texture it in DBPro. As VanB says, we need to see the model.
