Alright here is my problem: I downloaded V1.17 for my XP desktop. It worked fine for a while until it just stopped. The error message that began to appear directed me to the following location:

"C:\Documents and Settings\home_user\Local Settings\Temp"

At the following location I found these corrupt temp files

dbpdata
Fdbpdata2
IswTmp
WPDNSE
~DF420A.tmp
~DF7523.tmp
~DFCC0A.tmp

Every time I delete the bad temp files, fps just remakes them. I have no I idea what to do now. I know that these temp files are the problem, but I can't fix/get rid of them. What should I do?

Turn UAC off, (user account control), I have this error whenever I have UAC on.

sorry it did not work, I logged in as admin and still had the problem. Is there anything else I can do to try and fix the problem?

Hello, gladius.

Windows XP doesn’t use UAC. As long as your user account is set as administrator this shouldn’t matter.

I had the same problem except windows wouldn’t allow me to delete the files until after I ran check disk. Open My Computer right click on C drive and then properties. Click on the tools tab then click Check Now. Check both options and then Start. Click Yes on popup and reboot.

Before running FPSC I would delete the testlevel data and run FPSCreatorCleaner.

Hope this helps
Brian
