Just started what I hope to be my first FPSC project. The v117 update comes with three DAI scripts. Two appear scripts and one main. I am just now starting to be able to follow FPSC’s, scripting language. Now they add Dark AI, it makes my head explode! So hopefully someone can help or point me in some direction with this.

The problem:
I have placed an unarmed entity in a 3x3 sector room with a door (use). I have set up the DAI scripts in the entity properties, and have given him a weapon. When I approach the room from outside, and before I open the door. The enemy starts shooting through the door. The enemy can also use the door. The second problem isn’t an issue to me. But the first is very undesirable. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Now I don't remember off-top,but the door mesh must have a _door in its name in order for DAI not to shoot through it and consider it a door.

Thank you, Gencheff.

Was just now able, to try your suggestion. Copied the door mesh file and renamed it a_door.x. Changed the fpe file to, match. Made no a difference.

Please help!

Lol just name the door like this:

_door 1

He ment 'a' _door not a_door

Who the hell is General Failure? And why is he trying to read my hard disk?

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.

Thought you were yanking my chain. Ok, found reference to this in the Official FPSC Migration Thread.

I am using sci-fi (door_c). So the mesh has the prefix (door_) already. I will try and change it to (_door), I guess. I am not just relying on the forum to answer this for me. I have been frantically trying to figure this out myself. I may be wrong but, personally I think it has to do with the main-weapon script. I will try the mesh prefix thing first. And then if I have to tare the script apart, so be it. This will be answered.
