Hello everyone, I've posted a few work in progress games but I don't think I should have, they were not good enough. I am planning on making a zombie apocalypse game set in London. Now I know there are plenty of zombie games out there so I was wondering if anyone would like to help me make it stand out? I'm not asking for anything to be done for me (although links to resources will be appreciated ) just for people to help me sort my ideas out and to give me advice on how to get it working. I'll provide EVERYONE who helps me with a reward (I specialize in graphic design such as cover art and posters and might have something more useful for those who choose to help). Thank in advance from Flashfire07.

Well, I'm new to fps so can't really offer much help other than to say, make sure you have a good story idea sorted out (at least in your head, better on paper so to speak though). Make each level have a point, rather than just plopping into a scene with zombies in. A good story, makes a game a lot more enjoyable.

Well Crysis I don't have MSN or SKYPE. But if you can tell me what you're good at or would like to help with (if you want to help) I would appreciate that.

Oh, does anyone think it would be a good idea to have the story bounce between the Crusades, The London Blitz and the modern day apocalypse?

Guns:
All of EAI's guns.
EAI punching hands.
EAI LED lights.
(None of EAI's Fantasy weapons)

EDIT:
Most of EAI's melee weapons (Not the fantasy!)
And the punching hands are in the fantasy section. The only thing you'll need from there.

Model Packs:
London pack (Offical)
Zombie Apocolypse pack (Offical)
Dark City packs (Unoffical)

Models:
I'll leave this one to you

This is what truly makes a great game

Models:
Creative custom media

Story:
Something original, creative and that has not been done a million times, also with good detail.

Try these also

1.Don't overdose on Model Packs
2. ALWAYS have light mapping
3. Tone the ambiance or raise it depending on your atmosphere
4. Add some music, there's plenty of royalty free tracks online
5. rotate items just ever so slightly and place things on top of each other to get more of a realistic look.
6. Get some nice, clear shadows going that give a nice look as to your light source.

Zombie game? Really? The only story for your zombie game is the old "zombie virus" story because Id already took demons from hell zombies games are just not that great anymore people(for some reason)now more or less like urban jungles with firefights and stuff like modern warfare sci-fi is a good genre as well but I have no ideas for that and zombie games don't stand out instead have monsters instead of zombies but make sure the monsters are man-made killing machines gone wrong instead of a virus or demons from hell.

Thanks,
Richard
