well here it is i've done this car in about 1 hour and is around 1,400 polygon. This car is based off of the Nissan 240SX/180SX.

im hoping to get into texturing and hoping to get this one into a sample game. the car is not yet done and is wip as i stated earlier. i call it the 5000GT.

here is also my old one that i did. i only did another due to the reason of wanting to build up an actual car of this so i went in and build another based on an available platform. this one was based off of Lexus SC430.

i didnt take a close look but yes it looks very good, but what i did see were some n-gons, unless thats just the renderer, which is possible.

but the first spot i saw was the tail lights.

n-gons what's that? anyways you can click on it to see a bigger one. i just use the print screen button i didn't like wings 3d renderer. btw it's wireframe mode incase you were wondering.

yes yes, lol i did enlarge it, an n-gon is where there are more then 4 vertices on one face.

alot of programs that you would import to dont like them and just simply wont open it.

i drew some lines to demonstrate where some are,
but im not very good at it myself, so some other members may be of more help.

well i also missed a couple,
try and find it its near the license plate.

(the blue circle is where im not quite sure if i did it right there)

well thanks for the tip. will this make it appear any slightly different in a game? so far a lot of my 3d modeling programs read it well. how bad is the n-gon thingy gonna be?

ok ic ic. well no one didn't really teach me anything. i'd learned all my 3d stuff all on my own and get constructive criticisms here, but anyways at least ppl here help me out though at least. that's what made me what i am today.

edit: oh yeah thanks for actually help teaching me about ngons.

On me when I create model with n-gons fragmotions creates automatically triangels so it's not that bad.

Check for pure horror.

doesnt have to be bad, HOWEVER, sicne Ngons miss some edges, it might not render the specific edge you want, or, it might triangulate and create edges where you DONT want it.

okay on my day off i'll come back with more updated pics most likley fixed up those ngons by than. im been dying to scrounge up a 240sx shell around my area here so i can build one up to make it look like this one. im excited. im trying to drop a v8 in it. many ppl here still do sr20 while there's a growing crowd of v8 swappers.

This looks great - I'd sub divide the doors vertically to give them a slight curve as they may be a little to flat.

great job mate

thanks. i really appreciate it. btw yay! i want a V8 in it. i'm already started to work on it. ill post some soon as i get some more done. im thinking about calling this one the 400Z/430Z. the old datsuns used to run on the old s chassis, so let's just say it made it's way to the s chassis again and boom this is what you get.

note that the name 400z/430z/470z doesn't got it's name because it sounded cool but it got it from the engine displacement like it always had been. so it's a 4.0/4.3/4.7 liter engine V8

okay here it is. when i uploaded it i realize the poly on the rear quarter panel and some still needed to be done but anyways here it is. this car is a very secret project so no jockers(copycats). the next one which is based on the NA maita. i'll release that one as a public though. yay miata... that's only planned but who knows, but a warning is that i suck at texturing so the person will have to do that themself on the NA miata. im thinking about a NA with NB front with a unique and original headlight. a true hardtop that is spoon s2000 inspired. a taillight that is basically the same as the current car im doing. yes i admit that i love that circle like taillight.

why are you not using cylinders for the wheels? other than that it looks pretty good, could do with some optimisation, ither than that i like it

damm it! i didn't think about it.XD thanks for the advice. the rims are not done. i just left it like that. i'll delete that and use that cylinder to make out of it.

okay here it is with the new cylinder wheels. it has the stagard/ deep dish style rims. thanks for all the opinions and critics. i really appreciate them. keeps me motivated. right now the model itself with all 4 wheels are 1,443 polys. yay!!

what i need to do left is to fix up more ngons. than later i have to finish the front air dam on the front bumper. after that just need a final body tweaking. after that too im going to manually optimize the car. than i guess that would be it. yeah after the body takes shape than optimize it'll really look nice. if only i really know how to texture. on the old wings 3d it was easy, but now for me it just now keeps not loading the texture.

edit: oh yeah the side view mirror is not in yet! i still need to do that too.

here it is the near final one. also the hood is a low cowl style hood as so you can tell from the rear. i've cleaned it up a bit. im thinking about doing a test run of this car maybe on dark gdk or maybe on darkbasic pro.

here is the one without wireframe. nice and kinda clean. he reason for the hood cowl is for clearance and heat reasons so that's why i designed one like that. plus i think it looks cool on wings so far.

for the heck of it here is the front view.

here is a side view

thanks. i can tell. i keep trying to fix it, but it's slowly starting to come out right. it'll take forever. the rear is supposed to be round and the mistake is parts of it aren't really, so that's the problem.sadley i never rendered it no more because it keeps saying error. i guess i have to download the plugin for wings. i dunno where to start but i'll look around. i hope it looks better on render.

just a few more work than it's done in my opinion. other than that i've been working and stuff on my hands. sorry if i haven't been posting much. the other news is that i'll be coming up with a new car to model on which is a NA miata 89-97/98 and bring over my design cues to the miata. due to many reasons. the better car due to suspension design, plentifull, price, and etc. things will change to the car like the door, body panels, taillight, headlight, and especially a true full hardtop. plus after some last touches with the 240sx/180sx/silvia car than i'll post it up to whomever wants it, but if you want to use it make sure to credit me.

well don't really have time for it but here it is the car as a wings 3d file and x format as well. it's not done, but however wants to do some finish up touches to it you're welcome. also credit me if you are using it. thanks....

also i suck at texturing that's why i left it as it is.
