hi everyone,
been a while since i posted on here. I've been wanting to try and put some models back into FPSC, and mabey create a level or model pack with them all included, all of which use Bond1's fantastic shaders. Anyway i'll cut to the chase and just post some images.

Interesting. It doesn't quite look like wood to me though? It seams a little to gray. Good model though.

Check out my new model pack:

Looks great!

Poplar turns grey, and turning it to another color is as simple as an RGB adjustment on the texture itself.

Nice work, but I don't like all of the pegs sticking out, but that is just me.
I'd rather see an ornamental texture maybe bumped as a carving because that would look more authentic and have less poly count than the pegs.
The pegs would be a nice touch for like beams that connect near the top or something maybe, but they could be part of the beam since they would only be there if the beam was.

Not knocking it, just a bit of CC.

Depends if the pegs push in for a puzzle element..

That was the first thing I thought when I saw them too. Reminds me of Legend of Zelda or Tomb Raider.

thanks guys

teamhalo@
recently went on a history trip, we saw quite a bit of old wood carvings, most of which had turned that sort of greyish colour

Camouflage Studios@
i was meaning to use zbrush for some of these models, just a bit time consumming

Conjured Entertainment@
i like it! i'd never even thought of a wood carved pillar, its on my to do list

DVader and PW Productions@
thats a good idea, i'd do it if i was able to animate my models and script, but i can't

anyway here's an update, added some kind of trunk and just finished a plaster/ thick paint texture, please with how it came out, i like that the texture seems to come into focus the closer you get, anyway im kind of rattling so let me know what you think, thanks for all the feedback

I like the ceiling strut as it is but the pillar's design would rather call for metal than for wood imo.

which pillar do you mean, the first one?

Actually on me, there always comes light over dor since doors are dynamic and cant cast shadows so light just comes throught it.
