Does anyone know if the website http://studentrate.com is legit? It offers some great discounts of phones\monthly rates.

I just want to tell everyone that it is indeed legitimate! I am able to get a 23% discount on Sprint monthly rates +$50 credit.

Edit:

I know it's real because it takes you directly to Sprint's website. If your a student and you have a .edu email address then be sure to take advantage of these offers!

T-Mobile, AT&T, and HP all have discounts.

You can get a lot of cool stuff for cheap as a student - Microsoft offers the Ultimate Steal, which is a great offer - though it's changed somewhat. When it was Office 2007 you got a full copy of Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 for 90% off of the price (~£50), same offer applies for 2010 but it's an Academic version, though I'm not sure there's any restrictions, but I was lucky as I bought it in time to get 2007 and the free upgrade to 2010, not bad for £50 really.

When I started Uni there was a student specific phone provider that was advertising, which was stupidly cheap, but I can't remember the name.

You can get a lot of microsoft stuff free through your uni if your university is an msdn member, most comp sci departments are.

Yea, last year I got the Autodesk Education Suite for Entertainment 2010.

Perpetual student license for Maya, 3ds Max, SoftImage, MotionBuilder, and Mudbox. The software is exactly the same as full versions from what I understand, you're just not allowed to make commercial material or profit from it in any way.

I will live forever or die trying.

That's what I'm looking forward to doing very soon. Did they make you pay the extra $10 4G fee? When I went through the ordering page to see what my final cost would be, I noticed that you don't have to select the 'premium data' plan.

Also, how do you like the phone? What do you use it for the most?
