Newcomers DBPro Corner / command prompt /dos

using dbpro.
I need to be able to interact with a command prompt/dos window executing commands i can do this with a batch file but am trying to avoid it is there another way?

You can use the EXECUTE FILE command with CMD.EXE. If you use /c <command> it'll run then close the DOS window or /k <command> to keep the window open after the command.

This will do a wide directory listing:

I think there's probably some command in some microsoft dll to do this. It's standard enough you probably don't have to worry about compatibility issues... The problem is I don't remember the name of it :S
