today i was playing guild wars (yes, still ) and someone in kamadan was selling 81 lockpicks for 100k.

like any self-respecting trader, i keep calc.exe on the ready: 100,000/81 = 1234.5679012345679012345679012346 and i thought "hmmm. ascending sequential, minus the 8".

so, i decided to multiply that result by the missing 8 and, lo and behold: 9876.5432098765432098765432098765, "descending sequential, minus the 1".

then, "aha!"; the 8 and 1 were where this all started (kinda ): 81.

what have i stumbled across, here? this number:

then, a moment later:

infinity, of course! and, perhaps, the key to the universe?
