The demo has expired on my works computer, but I can still compile & run programs quite happily...

Then TGC wouldn't have any money and would have died long before Dark Basic Professional came into existence, and you wouldn't have made that foolish post on the forums today...

I recall that the original DBP demo told me I had 650 days left or somesuch like that and I was able to use it after it expired for testing purposes. I also know a friend whose demo tells him he has 0 days left, but never expires. Neither of us have messed with our clock or registry, he's running XP, I'm running 98.

There are some bugs in the registry of the program, if your works computer is using some form of safedisc it is extremely likely it has accidentially subsideded the compilers check.

This can happen when you install Blak&White post-Trial installation, there are a few other programs but i don't remember the right now.

The trial still watermarks all of the programs so its not like you can get away with using it for free for anything more than demo purposes anyways

It's very unprofessional though... there must be some kind of fix for it, surely? Programs like Texture Maker and Milkshape have excellent trial systems similar to DBPs that haven't ever bugged up on me.

Texture Maker does online verification of your license key - or lack of it. If only we could do the same (we can't btw).

I didn't mean the registration process, I meant its usage timer. It dosen't actually terminate when you've exceeded your limit, it just nags you a lot, but it could .
