I am using the latest version of DBPro but when i go to compile and run, it comes up with an error that reads:

Failed to 'LoadProjectFile'
Failed to 'LoadDBA'
Failed to 'LoadDBA'

and does not run.

any ideas on how to fix it without downgrading the version?

Which OS are you using, and are you running it with Administrator privileges?

I know that if you're using Vista or Windows 7, DBP doesn't always work right unless you run it as an Administrator. Has something to do with Windows locking out file access to the Program Files folder, I believe.

If you're not sure, try right clicking the DBP EXE, go to Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and check the "Run this program as an administrator" at the bottom of the window.

Do not mess with the default folders during setup, because it will make your DBP doing that cr*p...

It also doesn't like if there is already some earlier version on... i installed the free downloadable on several machines with just freshly installed XP, and DBPro ran without any trouble, though my working laptop does the same you described.

I am running windows 7. But running as administrator fixed it and even applied the update. thank you!
