hi

i got rid of my DBPro, then reinstalled it and upgraded and got CodeSurge 1.4c. now i am all set. but unfortunately, .dbpro and .dba files are no longer associated with anything and ask me "which program to open this with" when i double-click. i went to Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>File Types and selected .DBPRO (and .DBA) and clicked on "Change Program" for "open with", then i go to the "open with" dialogue, i don't see CodeSurge, so i click "add program", find CodeSurge.exe, click OK and it does not get added to the list and I can't set CodeSurge as the program at all. how do i fix this?

Remember those old guys? They made epic renders, I think one of them was called DaVinci, and all they used was MS Paint. Sometimes it's just skill....

Right click on the file and select open with... then check allways use this program select code surge, if that dosnt work try it whith the .dba file I'm not shure if code surge has its own editor files

Who the hell is General Failure? And why is he trying to read my hard disk?

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.

In Codesurge, go to File-->Associate DBPro Files With IDE

thanks Wilf that associated the files. but now i have a new problem: double-clicking on a .dbpro or .dba file gives me the Windows error "'C:\...\whatever.dbpro' is not a valid Win32 program." like it's trying to run the file rather than the program it's supposed to open with. i have a feeling it's some kind of registry key problem...

oh i've fixed it. went back into the folder "file types" setting, and after using the Associate Files item from CodeSurge's File menu, CodeSurge appeared on the "Open With" dialog box. i just had to set it to that again manually and now it works.
