New model pack in progress.
After the old (and forgotten) Huge Canyon was recently rediscovered I noticed some folks seemed to see a need for these kind of large terrain items.

The caves are very large with caverns and tunnels which connect together to create complex scenes.

Placed a few crates to show the scale.

The terrains have an alien world feel to them with wind and rain corrosion creating strange beautiful twisted forms in the soft rock.

I think the seams your seeing aren't from the texture thats actually part of the 'floor' its a raised artefact caused by capping the open area of the mesh, only did this way so I could get it into FPSC for now as a wip, I intend to remove the floors of these and use terrain segments much like the ones in the environment pack so enemy collision works.
There are a few 'erratic' faces which also need to be mapped properly. Sometimes these things aren't even noticed till FPSC's lightmapper gets to work on destroying your models smoothing.

Got to slice up the terrain mesh into 1x1 segment sizes, its the only way.
Congrats on your botb.

Is it 1 or 2 large caverns or smaller pieces which we can make our own with?

Wow this looks amazing as usual rolfy, will be buying this when it comes out. In a way, when I see this, I think of Enders game, when he was in Command school, the old buggers base turned human

These are way too complex to be modular, the cavern and tunnels will be entity's with floor areas which will be sliced segments so some ares can use enemy collision, you could of course also build platforms etc into these entitys to provide enemy's as well but reckon at least the floors so that there are no flat areas to take away from appearance.
Bear in mind these are pretty big 30x30 map size.so they cover a large area and its perfectly feasible to place segments and entity's inside of them.
The terrains are not the usual I have seen around before which mostly consist of hills these will have much more detail to them with corrosion etc much more apparent.

Tunnel system (I have inverted the normals so folks can see them proper)

Cave system with tunnels(removed the walls)

Alien terrain piece (will also do canyon, badlands etc.)

How long does it take you to slice them up into 1x1 segment pieces and import into fpscreator?

Wow! looking at those screens, that's putting it lightly. I'm dying to see how you put these together.

I'm too, i don't think it would be an easy process.

You could create a really nice sci-fi pack with this. Maybe add some kind of lava tubes, lava waterfalls, lava streams, etc. I think it would add to the sci-fi dry/hot planet. You could also make some indigenous looking huts. The screens just remind me of that planet from starwars where luke is from. SO maybe make some huts that look like lukes house. I think it would look cool.

Only the bottom level floors would be sliced, it takes a lot of time to export/import and place these as it is

Anayar: forget it, all is good far as I am concerned

Is this something we can mix about and build our own scenes? Or is it something that is one scene, you add it, and there is your cave scene?
I would prefer if we can mix and match them so we can build different scenes.

Whoops, I think I missed it (your post above), it looks like these are a one shot deal. If so, it may be best to break them up a bit so one can make a level varied by being able to post a few of them together a little bit, even if its just by alter 3 parts for the whole level.

Personally Ive always wanted segments I could make for walkways, irregular shapes one can add together to make causeways, cliff walkways, rocky plateaus to walk on etc, fantasy art is full of these

This kind of thing
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_eCN60Fh_Xjo/TCiZYKXzMQI/AAAAAAAAAk8/G-cMTsqU8zM/s1600/How+to+draw+a+vampires+castle+3.bmp
something one could build all kinds of constructions with, hellish realms over larva, or walkways acendinding to castles or up mountains, you know the sort of thing you see in art and movies all the time.

In the caverns and tunnels for example it would be impossible to make these modular. They are just too complex. At best I could mirror and flip the existing ones so they fit beside each other, but I think placing these in editor would be a nightmare and would also create real collision problems for the player, these objects are 30x30 of the grid with some being 20 in height.
Take a look at the images in the post above, the first is a series of tunnels the player can run through, just not possible to break that up so bits can fit together, its the primary reason most cave systems up to now have at best a curved corner, they may be modular as segments albeit the walls of these kind of segments may be irregular they still create a kind of uniform scene.
It would actaually be easier for me to make cave segments in the same way, but I thought folks would like something a little different.
The best idea would be to create paths, walkways and cliff edges to place inside of the main entity's allowing you to change things in that way. Thing is I couldnt make these segments as then the entity's would have to placed to suit these (they are tricky enough due to their size as it is), I dont know if maybe I am wasting time on these and they are merely glorified entity's, I'll wait to see if there is a demand for 'em before I continue any further.

Rolfy, you should really consider going for an official TGC pack; your stuff is right up there with mark and EAI.
