Hello there,

I thought I'd show you guys how I made a simple model (of a game logo) then used that to make a nifty Wallpaper. This was pure fun, I hope you all like it. It goes to show how even a simple model can be turned into a showcase. I'd like to see more of this kind of 'shine' put on some of your models. It helps give the model some character.

Cheers!

Nice. I now have a new desktop background

This is blank. But actually it isn't because I wrote that it is blank.

To be honest, the whole background thing really doesn't give models any character IMO, it just makes it look cheesy and cheap, just my opinion of course

And I'm not undermining the effort put into the background, I'm just giving a crit I guess

The backdrop really feels like AO. Are you a player David? I use to be a hard core player, though I'll admit once WoW came about I sort of dropped this great game...

Nice work, Logo looks dead on, and the backdrop shows off AO's atmosphere very nicely.

Hi Josh, Yes I'm going on 6 years playing AO.. I even got a sweet deal with Funcom, I'm making new inventory icons for the game, and that got me a free lifetime account.

I was trying to give the background the feel of some of the rough desert areas on Rubi-Ka.

I play both WoW and AO. Just rolled a few new toons in WoW, gonna see if I can level them using mostly the Dungeon Finder,.. so far geting some nice gear along the way.

Cheers!

I made this as a wallpaper for a project.

My computer surpasses all the technologies of the day. What computer do I have?
