After I had a system crash, and all my fps creator, map, .3ds, .x, texture, files just turned to dust. I said to myself
> Making this game is taking forever. <
And I`m interested how long you were making your games?

I average at around 1 month per level, fully tested, etc...

My karma ran over your dogma.

When I made Rads, I took around 2 weeks at least per level. That doesn't include ironing out all the bugs.

Try making a game without FPSC. This doesn't even compare.

1 and a half years, 2 in march, I've been actively working on levels for When Worlds Collide. each map to be completely ironed out and finished takes me about 1-2 months including music and voice acting. I often remake levels after I decide I want them to be new. It's a constant process. sometimes I find that it actually takes LESS time in other engines like flash and UDK to get a testable level ready and nice.

That made me think of Duke Nukem forever, the game 3d realms used to work on for 10 years and at the end they made nothing.

I didnt know, (I`m not really following game news, since I`m working on a new book.)
I saw 3d realms`s ``Goodbye`` post and I thought it was over.

I've been eorking on shatterpoint for about 3 yrs through various games and have only come out with about 8 levels that I really like, some of which have been erased after my computer crash. I restarted and now, I find my levels much more refined and interesting.

It surprises me that there isn't a forum area where people can post to hook up teams to work together on FPSC games (unless I've missed it).

What FPSC could really do with in my opinion is more high quality example games to sell it to new users. The only way that's likely to happen is to have a group of talented people working on a project. It would take one person forever!

It's so pathetic how you think you're the only one here with a girlfriend and make us jealous ... you're wrong.

Well since my girlfriend is in art school, she is always doing pictures for my small games I`m making.
(I`м, Learning game making and scripting from 13 years)
So I`m never bored. (My brother works in a recording studio, best friend is good with 3d modelling so I have everything to make game except knowledge. I`m a f**ing writer not a hardcore game developer.

Peace
